Flickering Light

I'm staring down the flames.
Watching the silent steady aging.
It's fascinating.
What we see one minute,
Is dead the next.
Gone.
Dark light.
Brighter in a different way.
Glows beneath the skin.
Driving deeper in search of heat.
Pulls within.
Never to fully extinguish.

Written for the Past

The majestic sunrise dispelled the darkness of the night.
I failed to see the beauty before I found you in my life.
You see, you reminded me of the sunrise, full of beauty and awe.
And every time I looked at you it was complete love without a flaw.
I loved the feel of your body next to mine.
It made me feel like it was perfect and divine.
The softness of your breath as it tickled down my neck.
Made me think of our hardships and regrets.
I can't tell you what I'm looking forward to.
For there's not more to do.
For that glorious future.
Is my empty moments cure.
So to you my dearest and distant friend.
I will never forget you,
Not even in the end.

Edited Emotion

Why the sudden change?
The young lady ask.
I'm tired this rage!
As he throws down the flask.
The young lady just stares,
And frowns.
She doesn't understand,
That he will not be held down.
He's done his wrongs in the past.
A time so foreign he begins to breathe fast.
He holds the emotion,
Of a runner taking last.
A stricken man,
Of life's turbulent cast.
People may laugh and tease,
For his whole life becomes a siege.
The young lady a phantom set,
leaves his arms in a foolish bet.
She believes,
They can no longer be.
But he knows,
She'll no longer see.
Who is right?
No one will know,
but me.

Forgotten Time

Minutes pass into hours.
The time is lost,
the hidden devoir.
Time is a friend.
Time is an enemy.
Take it for granted,
and it runs to the sea.
It takes a ship,
to the lost galaxy.
The forgotten dwindle,
hovering for time.
Its a lost cycle
of pity and rhyme.
Laugh at the time as it slips away.
Remember its not here to stay.

No Life To Be

Why must the world spin like top,
Why can't it slow down or even just stop.
I see.
No Life to Be.
When we're young we see just now,
But life's a field we must plow.
We must take out the anger and hate,
Well before life serves the plate.
You see,
It's No Life to Be.
For everyone reading this now and here,
Change whats left of your greatest fear.
For in the end when it comes near,
You will forget what you held dear.
Now look and see,
No Life to Be

Its There

Look at me in this room,
do you see what I've seen?
And yet you know it's there.
She sits in the gloom.
Does she know where I've been?
I reach out and touch her hair.
I pull her in tightly,
feel the quivering of her lips.
All this because she was sad?
I'm not sure,
but I'm sure glad.
I think she knows why.
It doesn't hide in the corner.
 like a lie.
The truth is,
it's there.

Money Vs. People

If money makes the world go around,
what makes people go around?
Is it more money?
Is it love?
Know one knows but the individual.
For myself and my soul,
it is the belief that everyone can change.
It is the whispering inside ones self,
that makes you stop and change.
The fight between money and people
is like the fight of good vs. evil.
No one wins until everyone realizes it's there.
It's real.

Stood Standing

In the silence that overwhelms the moment
you find the hidden meaning of life.
Its not what you do that defines who you are
but rather how long you stay in the fight.
Spare me the colors of that fortunate night,
I know who I am, I know I will not fade.
When you came a crashing and snarling,
I stood alone to take on the lashing.
For I would not bend to the Changing Parade,
It has no rhythm of honor and life.
Why should I join the procession of lies?
I remain standing and focused against,
the ever changing Changing Parade
for it remains here in its unchanging state
of fate.
